2.00 pm - Presentation: "The Mortimer Centre - an outsider's experience and perspective" (Adelphi Bandroom)
Ron Holz’s presentation will be in three parts:
1) The importance of the centre in his own work;
2) An example of one area for further research; and
3) A case study with a demonstration of one piece preserved in the archive probably not heard since the 1880's - The Death of Nelson. The brass band will be on hand for the demo. The event will be sponsored by Gramercy Music Publishers.
